Since the first Plane Pull for Sight in Toronto, Kevin has volunteered his time to perform the role of Master of Ceremonies at every event as it expanded to include stops in both Vancouver and now Calgary.
Director, Board of Directors, Orbis Canada
Bulgan is member of Orbis Canada’s Board of Directors and works at Tucows Inc., a Toronto-based Internet services and telecommunications company. Bulgan’s relationship with Orbis goes back more than two decades. In 1997, when she was just 10 years old, Bulgan was in a serious car accident in her home country of Mongolia that left her with extensive injuries, including damaged tear ducts. Thankfully, the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital visited Mongolia in 1998 and Bulgan received sight-saving surgery – an experience that entirely changed her life. After completing a Canadian high school diploma program online, Bulgan was accepted to York University in Toronto where she completed a degree in economics and business before starting a career in the mining industry and then the tech sector. Bulgan has volunteered with two Orbis programs in Mongolia – in 2014 and 2018 – and continues to share her story at events in her current home in Canada and wherever she can around the world.
